A New Hope Dog Rescue is a family run dog shelter located in Walkerville, Gauteng,  South Africa.

At A New Hope Dog Rescue we endeavour to give our dogs the best possible life while they're in our care. We provide large, social runs for the dogs, as well as heated sleeping spaces. 

A New Hope is dedicated to making sure any dogs that come into the shelter don't have a time limit on their length of stay, this means that we don't euthanize unless the dog is terminally ill or a danger to society. Any happy, healthy dog will stay with us as long as they need!
All steps are taken to rehabilitate any dogs in our care and find them suitable homes.

• We are a pro-life shelter ensuring the wellbeing, health and happiness of all the animals that come into our care
• We have happy, warm enclosures that ensure we provide them with the best opportunity for a second chance at the life they deserve
• We aim to make a lasting change to the local communities through education in animal welfare and sterilisation

With very few staff members we are in touch with each and every dog in the shelter on a constant basis.

Sterilisation is considered our most important role and is absolutely non-negotiable for any dog that enters the shelter and we work with some exceptional vets to further this purpose.  

We use the following programmes;

• Spay/neuter programs
• Adoption programs
• Retention programs
• Volunteers
• Partnering

​Funding is important to maintain the life and vitality of our institution for the benefit of all animals in our care. We need funding from the public, and in order to be operational we rely solely on the support of our community

Our Adoptions

VIEW OUR ADOPTIONS AVAILABLE

​Adoption changes lives !  Adopt one of our dogs and change a life, while opening a space for us to help another animal in need!  We have many dogs of all shapes, sizes and ages that are looking for homes.  We consult with you offering advice on the dogs and pairing and matching your home with the most suitable pet that fits into your home.  We would love you to come and visit us and possibly adopt these special animals!
